1. THEORY

As part of the training session we kick of with the basic theory behind 3D Printing.

I mean you need to know what a “nozzle“, “hot end” and “heated bed” translates to before attempting to build your own 3D Printer.

BTW, what is FDM? You see.

After getting the hang of the basic theory we start building and that is where most of the learning takes place.

Well, learning and most of the fun rather.

2. PRACTICAL

I have designed my own 3D Printer Kit. Many of the structural parts are available from your hardware supplier. Obviously the electronics you won’t find there, sorry. But I got your back on this.

During the Practical 3D Printer assembly stage you will continue to broaden your theoretical knowledge.

“Learn while Doing” is my approach. At the end of the practical session you can opt to buy your newly assembled 3D Printer. I am sure you will. But this is totally up to you.

3. Modelling

Okay, you know a little theory right? And you have assembled your 3D Printer right?

Next up – I will show you how to model a 3D part, export it into the correct file format for your printer to read.

And Voila!

6+ Years of 3D Drawing, Modelling and Printing Experience

MR3D is a fairly new business endeavour, but it all started nearly 4 years ago (at the time).

And this is my story…

A Software Engineer, that is crazy about gadgets and love to tinker with the latest and greatest technologies, made an impulsive late night online purchase.

Needless to say, my first 3D Printer kit was on its way to South Africa. Took me 48 hours to assemble the kit.

Now, not a day goes by without this guy spending time on 3D Modelling and Printing.

I have successfully taken 2 of my personal ideas from a Concept to a Prototype to a Provisional Patent.
